Body-work involving many hours of filling, shaping, and sanding is a critical step in the painting process at Rutter's Rod Shop. You can't make a "silk purse out of a sow's ear" so we give special attention to what's under the paint.
The metal-working process is just as critical. All metal that meets must lay flush to each other and the gaps around the doors, hood, and trunk must be even.
This '56 Nomad is being prepared for paint. The lovely beast is a complete build plus body and paint and it's going to be a beauty! The owner will really be pleased with the air ride fill kit we've hidden in the rear floor since the ride as well as the parking stance will be awesome. After it's finished we'll post all the build photos on this site. When you go to our PROJECTS page you'll see many other examples of our high quality workmanship in some of the build photos. If you need a new look for your hot rod just let us know!
